As a cardholder, you get exclusive discounts, double reward points, and other perks. To start, you get $25 off your first purchase when you open an account.
In this review, we’ll discuss the card’s key features, including rewards, rates, and eligibility requirements, as well as how to apply. Interested? Keep reading for all the details.
Features of the Victoria’s Secret Credit Card
If you’re considering getting the Victoria’s Secret Credit Card, here’s what you can expect. As a cardholder, you’ll earn points for every purchase.
Once you accumulate 2,000 points, you can redeem them for a $10 reward. This is an excellent perk for regular shoppers. Points accrue with every purchase intended for personal, family, or household use, giving you various ways to earn rewards and discounts.
The Victoria’s Secret Credit Card has three levels, each with its own benefits. You start at the Member level, which doesn’t require a minimum spend. If you spend $300 in a program year, you move up to Silver, and with a spend of $750, you reach Gold.
With each tier, the rewards improve. Silver cardholders receive a $10 birthday gift and a 10% discount on their cardmember anniversary, while Gold cardholders get a $15 birthday gift and 15% off on their anniversary. Silver cardholders also get free shipping on orders over $50, while Gold members enjoy free shipping for orders over $25.
Twice a year, cardholders can select a day to earn double points on all purchases, and once a year, they get to choose a special benefit.
The Victoria’s Secret Mastercard offers even more benefits, with zero-fraud liability, 4 points for every dollar spent on dining, travel, and streaming, and 2 points for every dollar spent on purchases outside Victoria’s Secret.
If you spend $500 outside Victoria’s Secret within 90 days, you earn a $30 bonus reward. Cardholders also earn triple points on bras at Victoria’s Secret and PINK, including clearance items. However, this triple-point perk can’t be combined with other point accelerators like 2X Points Day.
To make the most of your rewards, download the Victoria’s Secret app to track points and access exclusive offers.
Additionally, linking your VictoriaSecret.com account with your credit card allows you to manage everything in one place.
Pros and Cons of Victoria’s Secret Credit Card
The Victoria’s Secret credit card has several advantages and disadvantages. They include:
Benefits of Victoria’s Secret Credit Card
The Victoria’s Secret Credit Card offers some great perks. When you open an account, you get a $25 discount on your first purchase, whether in-store or online. After that, you earn double reward points every time you use the card at Victoria’s Secret or PINK—10 points for every dollar spent. Collect 2,000 points, and you can redeem them for a $10 reward.
So whether you’re buying lingerie, panties, loungewear, or accessories, you’re getting extra perks just by having the card.
With the Victoria’s Secret Mastercard®, you earn points on everyday purchases, not just at Victoria’s Secret. Whether you’re buying groceries, pumping gas, or dining out, you’ll collect points along the way.
Victoria’s Secret Credit Card Cons
The Victoria’s Secret rewards program has some drawbacks. Here are some of the cons to be aware of:
You won’t earn points on taxes, shipping fees, product discounts, returns, or services like gift wrapping. Purchases outside the U.S., cash advances, and balance transfers also don’t count toward points.
If you return items, your points might go negative, requiring you to earn enough to get back to zero before earning any rewards.
Bonus Point Promotions offer additional points, but often come with restrictions, such as blackout periods or point limits.
Approval for the card depends on your creditworthiness, and for free shipping, only orders over $25 qualify—but you must use your Victoria’s Secret credit card.
Free shipping only applies within the U.S., and some rewards expire 90 days after issuance.
Rates and Fees
Here’s a list of the rates and fees for the Victoria’s Secret Credit Card and the Victoria’s Secret Mastercard ®. The Annual Percentage Rate (APR) for purchases is approximately 32.24% for both cards, and this rate can fluctuate based on the Prime Rate.
The Victoria’s Secret Credit Card doesn’t offer balance transfers or cash advances, but the Mastercard® does. For balance transfers, the APR is 26.99%, and for cash advances, it’s 33.24%.
Your payment due date is at least 25 days after each billing period ends. To avoid interest charges on purchases, you need to pay off your entire balance by the due date each month.
If you don’t, you’ll lose the grace period for future purchases until you’ve paid your balance in full for two consecutive billing periods. For cash advances and balance transfers, interest starts from the transaction date.
Regarding the fees, neither of the cards has annual fees. However, the Mastercard® has transaction fees for balance transfers and cash advances, which can be either $10 or 5% of the transfer amount, whichever is greater. Foreign transactions incur a 3% fee.
Penalty fees can apply if you’re late on a payment or if a payment is returned. The late payment Victoria’s Secret credit card fee can go up to $41, and returned payments can be up to $25.
If you’re charged interest, there’s a minimum fee of at least $2.
*The rates and fees mentioned above are subject to change; please confirm updated information on the official credit card website if necessary.
Requirements and Eligibility Criteria
To join the Victoria’s Secret rewards program, you must be at least 18 years old and a U.S. resident.
You’ll need to provide some basic personal information, such as your name, email address, home address, and phone number.
You can sign up at checkout in any participating store, online, or at special sign-up events. Once you join, you’re considered a “General Participant.” If you have a Victoria’s Secret Credit Card, you’re a “Cardholder.”
General Participants start at the “Member” level, which includes all the basic benefits. As a Cardholder, you automatically join the rewards program at Silver tier status. If you spend enough in a year, you can move up to the Gold tier.
To maintain your status, you must keep your account in “Good Standing.” This means keeping it open, not being over 60 days late on payments, and avoiding any fraudulent activity.
